We do not believe in a one- size-fits all approach to veterinary medicine. We partner with you to achieve your pet's optimal health.
Healthy teeth can lead to a healthy life. We provide the necessary treatment to get your pet's gums in tip-top shape.
The most high-tech equipment meets the best surgical skills in town. We provide everything from the routine to the complicated.
When surgery isn't the answer, we lean on other forms of medicine to get your pets back on their feet.
Pine Animal Hospital we are transparent about how we approach your pet’s health. We respect that there is no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to medicine. Our job is to tell you what is possible, and your job is to decide what is right for you and your pet. But we’re not here to push. We’re here to keep your little fluffs healthy and happy.
DR. STEVE
Dr. Steve grew up with a lot of animals in the house: cats, dogs, lizards, cockatiels, chickens, guinea pigs – you name it. As is the case for many children, they were more than just animals to him – they were playmates and friends (and sometimes partners in crime).
During and after college Dr. Steve has conducted extensive medical research, participating in studies that have led to groundbreaking advances in treating blood and bone cancer, and cardiovascular diseases.
After working at several veterinary hospitals, Dr. Steve decided to open Pine Animal Hospital with the goal of providing the best possible experience for clients, along with the best possible care for their pets. When he is not at the hospital, Dr. Steve enjoys spending time with friends, playing tennis & hockey and hanging out on the beach, and playing with his dog Ollie (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel).
If you’re in to sports and wanna talk hockey, Steve is your man.
DR. ALYSSA
Dr. Alyssa is a Los Angeles native and is happy to be practicing in sunny Southern California! She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree at Stanford University and her doctorate from Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Alyssa has a particular interest in dog and cat preventative medicine. In addition to her small animal experience, she has a background in wildlife medicine. Dr. Alyssa has a special place in her heart for marine mammal rehabilitation, and she has also worked on an emergency mobile unit in Kenva.
Dr. Alyssa has a charming and mischievous rescue Beagle named Marty. In her free time, she loves dancing (everything from line dancing to hip hop), whale watching, hiking, and eating pastries.
To make your next visit even easier, here are some standard forms that we require.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
